FEDERALLY MANDATED CONSUMER INFORMATIONCAMPUS SECURITY ACTThe annual Georgia College & State University Public Safety Report, including information required by the Federal Crime Awareness Act of 1990 and the Drug Free Schools and Communities Act, includes statistics for the previous three years concerning reported crimes that occurred on campus; in certain off-campus buildings owned or controlled by GCSU; and on public property within, or immediately adjacent to and accessible from the campus. The report also includes institutional policies concerning campus security, such as policies concerning alcohol and drug use, crime prevention, the reporting of crimes, sexual assault, and other matters. Copies are maintained in the Public Safety Office, Human Resources, and Admissions or on the Web. CATALOG STATEMENT OF PURPOSEThe 2009-2010 Georgia College & State University Undergraduate Catalog is effective beginning August 3, 2009. The statements set forth in this Catalog are for informational purposes only and should not be construed as the basis of a contract between a student and the University. While the provisions of the Catalog will ordinarily be applied as stated, Georgia College reserves the right to change any provision listed in this Catalog, including but not limited to academic requirements for graduation, without actual notice to individual students. Every effort is made to provide information that is accurate at the time the Catalog is prepared. However, regulations, policies, fees, curricula, courses, and other matters contained herein are subject to change at any time during the period this Catalog is in effect.
