B. A. DEGREE WITH A MAJOR IN ART - GENERAL ART STUDIO CONCENTRATION

(Art majors are required to complete all courses in Area F. Any transfer student who has not completed the courses in Area F, or their equivalents, must take these courses at GCSU.)

Complete two courses from:

Senior Project and Senior Exhibition are to be taken in sequence and only during the senior year.

Complete four classes in Art History from the following including one Non-Western Art History course. Arts 4851 maybe used as a Non-Western course.

Students must demonstrate minimum proficiency at the level of the fourth university course (2002) in one foreign language.

Students are strongly encouraged to use their elective hours to develop a secondary or tertiary area in art.

Other Requirements

• A grade of C or better is required for all courses that count toward major requirements.
• A minimum of 39 hours overall must be at the 3000-4000 level.
• Complete First-Year Academic Seminar with a satisfactory grade. Students who transfer to GCSU are exempt from this requirement.
