Foreign Language Requirements

3-12 semester hours

Students must demonstrate minimum proficiency at the level of the fourth university course (2002) in one foreign language.

Electives

9-12 semester hours

Students are strongly encouraged to use their elective hours to develop a minor concentration in another field related to their career aspirations or chose a secondary area in art (Studio, Art History). It is strongly recommended that students take ARTS 2620 Digital I: Digital Print and additional Art History classes to fulfill elective semester hours..

Other Requirements

  • A grade of C or better is required for all courses that count toward major requirements.
  • A minimum of 39 hours overall must be at the 3000-4000 level.
  • Complete First-Year Academic Seminar with a satisfactory grade. Students who transfer to GCSU are exempt from this requirement.
