SECOND BACCALAUREATE DEGREE

A student, who has been awarded a baccalaureate degree, from Georgia College & State University or another accredited institution, may be granted a second baccalaureate degree provided the following conditions have been fulfilled:

  1. The student has met all requirements for their chosen degree.
  2. The student has not previously earned a degree of the type sought. For example, a student who has already earned a Bachelor of Science degree may not earn another Bachelor of Science degree, but that student may pursue a Bachelor of Arts degree.
  3. A student must satisfy all major requirements listed for the chosen program of study, including the senior exit requirement.
  4. The student must complete the legislature requirements (U.S. and Georgia History, U.S. and Georgia Constitution).
  5. The student must complete a minimum of 40 semester hours in residence at Georgia College & State University.
  6. The student must have at least 21 of the last 30 credit hours toward a degree completed in residence at Georgia College & State University at the 3000-4000 levels.
