Students will select a specialization in an area of professional application approved by the Department. An approved minor, research course, and practicum are required in the specialization area. Students who elect to complete a second major in the specialization area will normally take an additional semester to complete both majors.

NOTES:

  1. Grades of C or better are required in Area F, major, minor, and approved elective courses.
  2. In order to graduate, students must have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 and fulfill other requirements specified in the Graduation Requirements section of the Catalog.
  3. Signed agreement to the terms and conditions stated in the Outdoor Education Student Handbook is required for admission to and retention in the outdoor education program.
  4. Students are required to complete professional portfolio requirements as noted in the Outdoor Education Student Handbook prior to internship approval.
  5. Complete First-Year Academic Seminar with a satisfactory grade. Students who are admitted as transfer students to Georgia College are exempt from this requirement.
