Office of Student Engagement

A wide range of campus activities are provided for students and are the efforts of many students, faculty, and staff.  The Department of Student Engagement is responsible for coordinating major campus-wide events such as Week of Welcome, Hanging of the Greens, Homecoming, Bobcat Marketplace, Bobcat Awards & Recognition and Midnight Breakfast  The department  also works hand-in-hand with the Campus Activities Board in planning and implementing programs and activities year round.

Campus Activities Board

The Campus Activities Board, commonly known as CAB, offers fun and exciting activities for all students. Students are highly involved in the creation of all CAB events, providing opportunities for students to lead, plan and implement a wide variety of events and activities. By participating in campus activities, students make new friends, have diverse experiences, and better adjust to college all in a fun, substance-free environment.

Most events are on-campus, but occasionally CAB takes their show on the road via CAB To Go. The most popular CAB events last year included movie nights, CAB To Go trips, inflatables, game nights and Midnight Breakfast. CAB programs take place year round so visit our Instagram for details on upcoming events or email us at cab@gcsu.edu.
