The purpose of the Council of Student Ambassadors is three-fold:
- To identify a select group of students who are dedicated to enhancing the image of and interest in Georgia College & State University,
- To train these students to be effective hosts and hostesses during special university events and programs,
- To provide these students with benefits, both direct and indirect, such as opportunities for developing leadership skills and building professional and social self-confidence.
CSA members will serve as hosts and hostesses as well as information specialists during special Georgia College functions sponsored by the President, the Office of Admissions, Institutional Advancement, and the college and schools of the University. Ambassadors will serve as student admissions representatives, campus tour guides, commencement/convocation ushers and attendants, as well as role models and informal mentors to prospective and entering students. Ambassadors are also eligible to apply to become summer orientation leaders.
