The GC CPE is committed to providing equal access to continuing education programs for students living with permanent or temporary disabilities. Individuals interested in enrolling in continuing education courses can request accommodations by contacting CPE 5-10 business days in advance of the first class.
ADDITIONAL REGISTRATION INFORMATION
Registration is on a first-paid, first-enrolled basis. You will not be guaranteed a place in a course until the registration fee is paid. This policy eliminates last-minute course cancelations and overcrowded classes.
Admission to most courses is open to anyone. Interest and a desire to learn are the only requirements. There are no educational prerequisites for most courses. Applicants are not required to take exams to participate in the Continuing and Professional Education programs. Certificate or professional programs may require certain professional competency for entrance.
CPE reserves the right to cancel any program because of insufficient enrollment or for other administrative reasons. Should a situation develop which necessitates cancelation or rescheduling, full fee refund will be made to those students in canceled classes.
WITHDRAWALS AND REFUNDS
If you must cancel and would like to receive a full refund, you must notify GC Continuing and Professional Education in writing at least three full business days before the course start date. More advance notice is required for a variety of programs including summer camps, individual lessons, and more. Program specific refund policies will be stated on the individual course information. Notification of withdrawal and a request for refund should be made in writing to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Notifying the instructor or failure to attend a course does not constitute a formal withdrawal and will not result in a refund. The text/materials fee is nonrefundable after the registration deadline for courses requiring a text and/or other materials as part of the registration fee. If GC CPE cancels a course for any reason, you will be contacted and receive a full refund.
Before participating in the first session of any physical activity course, the Georgia Board of Regents requires that a waiver of liability be signed by the adult enrolled in the course or by the parent of any child under 18 years of age. Many activity courses also require proof of insurance. Please see the WAIVERS section above to link to the appropriate waiver for your needs.
