Instructor Peer Coaching (IPC)

Beginning each fall, Instructor Peer Coaching (IPC) pairs instructors from different colleges or departments and provides a way for instructors to assess and improve their teaching practices with professional growth and development as the overall goal of the program initiative. The primary coaching focus areas are active learning, technology, improving lecturing, providing and incorporating feedback, and classroom management. Throughout the coaching process, each instructor will set goals, create an action plan, implement practices based on their action plan, and then review and reflect on ways to improve. The Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL) will train and support the peer groups as they engage in the peer coaching model. This process builds a culture that promotes teaching excellence. Each instructor will receive $125 in professional development funds each semester in December and May.

If you want to request IPC, please contact us at with "IPC" in the email subject line. You must express interest in the process before August 31.
