You're invited to join us for Homecoming 2026! This year's theme is Ignite the Thunder: The Bobcat Games, where we will be celebrating Winter Olympic inspired fun all week long. Homecoming festivities kick-off on Monday, Feb. 16, 2026. From cheering on the Bobcats to announcing Homecoming Court, there will be a lot of fun and exciting activities for all ages to participate in.

Monday, February 16

Ignite the Thunder: The Bobcat Games Opening Ceremony	12:00 - 1:00 p.m.	Front Campus	Kick off Homecoming Week with our official opening ceremony as we light the Olympic torch and launch a week of Olympic-inspired fun. Join campus leaders, student organizations, and special guests as we celebrate Bobcat pride and officially begin the festivities.
Ignite the Thunder Opening Celebration	11:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.	Front Campus	Test your skills and have some fun with winter-themed inflatables, including an alpine slide and interactive winter games. Open to all students throughout the afternoon.
GCSU Bobcat Games: Human Curling	1:00 - 3:00 p.m.	Front Campus	Compete in a playful, campus-style version of curling that puts a fun twist on this Winter Olympic favorite. Teams and spectators welcome.
Office and Door Decorating Begins	8:00 a.m.	N.A.	Faculty and staff are invited to decorate their offices and doors in the spirit of Homecoming. Decorations will be judged later in the week, so let your creativity shine!	Sign Up for Office Decorating

GCSU Bobcat Games: Hockey Puck Shoot with Macon Mayhem	1:00 - 3:00 p.m.	Front Campus	Show off your hockey skills with a puck shoot or field hockey-style competition designed for all experience levels.
Silent Disco & Spring Concert Artist Release	7:00 - 9:00 p.m.	Magnolia Ballroom	Dance the night away at a Silent Disco and be the first to hear who's performing at the Spring Concert. Multiple music channels, glowing headphones, and lots of fun guaranteed.

Ignite the Thunder: Snowy Extravaganza	12:00 - 4:00 p.m.	Front Campus	Step into a winter wonderland during our Snow Extravaganza! Enjoy open ice skating, warm up at the hot chocolate bar, and snap photos at the snow-themed photo booth complete with festive backdrops and props. With falling snow effects and Winter Olympics vibes, this come-and-go event is perfect for making Homecoming memories—no skating experience required, just come ready for fun!
GCSU Bobcat Games: Skating Challenge	2:00 - 3:00 p.m.	Front Campus	Race against the clock in a fast-paced challenge inspired by Olympic speed-skating.
Homecoming Election Opens	N.A.	N.A.	Students can cast their votes as Homecoming Court and SGA elections officially open.

GCSU Bobcat Games: Biathlon	1-3 p.m.	Front Campus	Put your endurance and accuracy to the test with this fun, campus-friendly version of the Winter Olympics biathlon.
Office/Door Decorating Judging	Noon	N.A.	Judges visit decorated offices and doors to determine this year's winners.
Battle of the Bobcats	6:00 - 9:30 p.m.	Russell Auditorium	Join the Campus Activities Board for this annual musical event. Student-led bands and musical artists will compete to be the ultimate best of the Bobcats. Winner will get to open for the Spring Concert.

Tent City Tailgate	11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.	Centennial Lot	Tent City is the official "Tailgating" event for the Homecoming Games and offers a place for everyone to gather in a convenient location. All Tent City participants must register in order to participate. The registration deadline is Friday, February 13. Tent City is an opportunity for current students, faculty, staff, and alumni to rent or bring a small personal tent as a part of the homecoming celebration. Groups may choose to grill or bring prepared food to serve their guests. Tailgating activities may begin at 11:30 a.m. at the tent locations and must conclude by 1:30 p.m. Tent rentals range from $350 to $850, with sizes ranging from 15'x15' to 30'x30', and all rentals will receive one or more tables plus chairs, depending on the size of your tent. Groups bringing a small personal tent will only be charged a $35 reservation fee. NO Glass Allowed.	Sign Up for Tent City
Basketball Games	1:30 p.m. and 4 p.m.	Centennial Center	Come cheer on the Bobcats as they take on GA Southwestern. The Homecoming Court will be announced during halftime of both games, with crowning of the King, Queen, Duke, and Duchess occurring at the end of the men's game.
