What is the Cost of Attendance (COA)?

The term Cost of Attendance (COA) refers to an estimate of total expenses that students may incur while attending school for the academic year which will include direct institutional costs as well as indirect costs. Federal aid applicants are assigned an estimated COA based on their class level, residency status and living arrangements (i.e. on-campus, off-campus or with parents). Incoming Freshmen students are placed in an on-campus group, upperclassmen are placed in an off-campus group. If you are living on-campus as an upperclassmen, at home, or your COA classification does not otherwise match your living situation, please contact our office to have it updated. The cost of attendance should not be confused as a student's bill.

Expenses for dependent care, disability accommodations allowance and a one-time purchase of a computer ($1500 maximum) can be submitted for consideration. Once submitted, the annual or one time amount will be added to student's COA upon submission of documentation from student and an approval by the Financial Aid Office. Students in specific programs that require licensure, certification, and/or professional credentials will have an additional component for that amount in their individual Cost of Attendances.

Below are Cost of Attendance breakdowns by Undergraduate, Graduate, Graduate Web-based Programs, and Web MBA programs in addition to the residency status and living arrangements (if applicable).
