The Outdoor Center is located at Georgia College's East Campus (Lake Laurel), which is 10 minutes east of Main Campus. East Campus is situated on 83 acres of mixed forest, including a 3 acre lake, stream and wetlands. Facilities include Lake Laurel Lodge, the Outdoor Center Cabin, the Craft Shack and the Challenge Course. We are proud to offer a wide variety of opportunities for group development and leadership training to meet the needs of our clients and serve Georgia College faculty, staff and students. The Challenge Course
The Challenge Course is located on a hill overlooking Lake Laurel, surrounded by mixed-forest and bordered by a small stream on the south side. The main activity area is bisected by an old logging road and smaller foot paths deliver participants to activity areas on the site. The facility is designed to accommodate a range of ages and abilities, and enable us to create programs that are unique to every group.

Lake Laurel Lodge
Lake Laurel Lodge was built in the 1940's for the use and enjoyment of Georgia College faculty, staff, and students. Its rustic charm is enhanced by its location overlooking Lake Laurel. This clubhouse-like lodge is home to outdoor education academic classes and Outdoor Center programs. Equipped with state of the art technology, a large central gathering room is a great place to begin and end a program. The lodge offers rustic accommodation that comfortably sleep 20 people. Its large screened in porch joins a deck equipped with picnic tables and a grill. Those amenities plus its kitchen provide a great opportunity for group meals.

The Outdoor Center's address is 315 Lake Laurel Rd NE, Milledgeville, GA 31061. To visit us from main campus head east on GA-24/GA49 W/W Hancock St. Continue to follow GA-24 for 2 miles. Turn left at Lake Laurel Rd and drive north approximately 2.1 miles. The Georgia College East Campus and Outdoor Center entrance will be on the right.
