Group Development Experiences

Most people would agree that a group that plays together, stays together! As well, a group that works together is more effective when its members communicate and problem solve well, respect and utilize diversity in the group, cooperate and constructively deal with controversy, and use leadership within the group to transform itself into a highly functioning team. The Outdoor Center at Georgia College offers a broad range of custom designed group development experiences that are focused on team building and team effectiveness. If you are looking for a unique and exciting option to produce positive results within your group, a program with us may be right for you. Our mission for group development experiences is to create programs with lasting impact for profit and not-for-profit organizations, community groups, athletic teams, churches, youth groups, and school groups. In consultation with you, we design and deliver experiences that are conducive to helping groups and group members achieve their goals. Leadership Training

Our leadership training programs are a blend of traditional and experiential education strategies that are taught by experienced facilitators. We teach, model, and discuss topics such as instructional techniques, facilitation strategies, program design, industry standards, and explore leadership models for a variety of contexts, clients, and environments.  Self-awareness is central to learning how to effectively lead others with confidence and enthusiasm. Our leadership training programs are designed to promote personal growth and professional development and we believe that the goal of leadership is to have a positive impact on others.
