Our Admissions Process
Bridge candidates are nominated for the program by the Admissions Office following a review of the application materials. Students cannot apply for BSP, but they are encouraged to contact Georgia College & State University Admissions if the Bridge Scholars Program is of interest to them.
Once a student has been nominated for BSP they must then interview for a competitive spot in the program. Interviews for the 2025 Bridge Scholars Program will begin in early December and run through early April. Please see your nomination letter for instructions on how to sign up for your interview. Admission decisions are made on a rolling basis following each interview date until the program is full; thus we encourage students to sign up for the earliest interview date available. Approximately 450 students will be nominated to BSP, and enrollment is limited to approximately 125 students. Students are generally notified of their admission status within two weeks of their interview. Decisions are final and not subject to appeal.
If a student is offered admission they must be one of the first 125 students to submit their non-refundable $300 BSP fee in order to secure placement within the program. Once 125 students have committed to BSP, a waitlist will be created for students. More students will be offered placement in BSP than spaces are available, so it is imperative that payment is made as quickly as possible. Because space is very limited, we cannot guarantee you a spot in the program until this fee has been paid. Please call (478) 445-6293 if you would like information about a needs-based deferral of your $300 fee.
