The Master of Management Information Systems (MMIS) program at Georgia College & State University has been awarding quality degrees since 1989 and we are pleased to now offer the following online MMIS graduate certificates:
- IS Data Analytics
- IT Auditing
- Web Developer
The courses required for each certificate are delivered fully online. A unique aspect of the MMIS certificates is a Premium Student Support Hour offered in each class weekly from 7:30 to 8:30 pm EST. Attendance for the Premium Student Support Hour is not required, but students are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity to interact with MMIS faculty and classmates during this time as much as their schedule allows.
IS DATA ANALYTICS CERTIFICATE
Data analytics is important because it helps businesses optimize their performance. Implementing it into the business model means companies can help reduce costs by identifying more efficient ways of doing business and by storing large amounts of data. A company can also use data analytics to make better business decisions and to help analyze customer trends and satisfaction, which can lead to new and better products and services. This certificate gives you the knowledge to move into many of the Analytics positions offered in almost every organization.
IT AUDITING CERTIFICATE
An information technology (IT) audit is an examination of the management controls of the applications and Information technology infrastructure of an organization. The IT Auditing field includes knowledge of business processes, information security, information policies and procedures, accounting, and compliance requirements. An IT Auditor is involved in developing, implementing, testing, and evaluating audit review procedures. Companies may have internal IT Auditors who make sure processes and procedures are developed and followed, or an IT Auditor may be employed by an external company to audit another company. This certificate gives you the knowledge to get started in the field of IT Auditing.
WEB DEVELOPER CERTIFICATE
A web developer needs to understand how websites and business applications are developed and pushed to the cloud. There are many aspects of web development. Front-end developers use their design skills to create efficient and good-looking sites, while back-end developers focus on adding value to a business through application development. Developers need an understanding of project management, computer programming, and databases. This certificate gives you the knowledge to get started in the field of web development.
