Class Visit Request

What is a class visit?

Writing Center representatives will visit your class for 30 minutes for a brief presentation about the services that are offered in the Writing Center. This presentation can be tailored to your specific class and discipline, or it can be a general overview of services offered to all students, regardless of major or class.

How to schedule a class visit

Email writing.center@gcsu.edu to request a visit. Please make sure to include a day and time when you have 30 minutes of class time available for our presentation. Feel free to email more than one day for us to choose from. Please also include the building and room number. If you have more than one section of a class, we can visit each section! Just let us know the times and locations of all sections that you’d like us to visit.

Assignment review request

What does the assignment review entail?

The Writing Center invites GCSU faculty from any discipline to submit an assignment to our student review service. Both undergraduate and graduate Writing Center Consultants will review your assignment for clarity and consistency, then offer feedback from the student perspective. Here is the feedback form faculty will receive; the faculty member will ultimately decide whether and how to employ the provided feedback. Please note that your assignment will not be published and will only be viewed by the consultant(s) to whom it is assigned for review purposes.

How to request an assignment review

Request to have your assignment reviewed. If you have any questions, email us at writing.center@gcsu.edu.
