REACH Georgia
REACH Georgia is a needs-based mentoring and scholarship program providing eligible students the support to graduate from high school and achieve a college education. Qualifying REACH Scholars will be awarded a financial scholarship upon graduating from high school.
Program Eligibility Requirements and Application: Reach Georgia
All Scholars are selected as 8th-grade students by participating REACH School Systems in the spring of a student’s 7th-grade year or fall of their 8th-grade year. Students interested in participation should contact their participating school for information.
Dual Enrollment
Dual Enrollment is a program funded by the State of Georgia to assist high school students in paying for college-credit coursework. Funding for Dual Enrollment covers only courses listed in the approved Dual Enrollment Course Directory which the student will receive dual credit for high school and college degree-level.
Georgia HERO Scholarship program
Georgia HERO Scholarship program provides educational scholarship assistance to members of the Georgia National Guard and U.S. Military Reservists who served in combat zones, and the children and the spouses of such members of the Georgia National Guard and U.S. Military Reserves.
Program Eligibility Requirements and Application: Georgia HERO
Applicants must file a Georgia HERO application for the initial HERO Scholarship award no later than two years after gaining eligibility. A renewal application must be completed each academic year.
Public Safety Memorial Grant
The Georgia Public Safety Memorial (GPSM) Grant provides grant funds to the dependent children of Georgia Public Safety Officers who were permanently disabled or killed in the line of duty. Funds may be used towards the eligible student’s cost of attendance.
Program Eligibility Requirements and Application: Public Safety Memorial Grant
Once you have completed the paper application:
- You will need to forward your application to the Financial Aid Office which will certify your eligibility.
- You will be asked to submit documentation regarding the accident or incident resulting in death or disability to the Georgia Student Finance Authority (GSFA).
- You will be notified when the processing is complete and the award is made.
- You must reapply each year.
