Since 2013, the Inspire! Student Leadership Forum has welcomed innovative and insightful leaders to share their experiences with the Georgia College community. Inspire! presenters share the university’s commitment to leadership for the collective good, whether in business, the non-profit sector, or public affairs, and are typically C-suite executives in private enterprise or hold leadership roles in the public sector.
Inspire! presenters discuss:
- Leadership lessons they have learned through their life and work.
- A particular leadership philosophy, model, or concept that interests them.
- A particular cause or issue that motivates them.
- Leadership challenges that we face in the world.
- How to engage effectively with our communities and government.
Nominate an Inspire! Presenter
Do you know someone who should facilitate an Inspire! Forum? Please nominate a future presenter.
Q. May I nominate a speaker I know personally?
A. Yes. Many of our Inspire! presenters share some previous relationship to Georgia College and the community. If you would help to arrange an introduction, the Leadership Programs staff will gladly reach out to potential speakers.
Q. May I suggest someone I don't know?
A. Sure. Is there someone you would like to hear from and engage in a discussion of leadership? The Leadership Programs staff welcomes such nominations and will work to bring insightful leaders to Georgia College for a discussion with our students. Please tell us how you learned about this person, and we will reach out.
Q. When is the nomination deadline?
A. There is no deadline, and we accept rolling nominations. The Leadership Programs staff plans Inspire! forums six to twelve months in advance, so the sooner you make your nomination, the sooner we can research potential presenters and reach out.
Q. Does Inspire! partner with other organizations?
A. Yes. The Office of Leadership Programs frequently co-sponsors Inspire! forums with other university offices and student organizations, as well as external groups. To solicit such a sponsorship, please contact the Leadership Programs staff.
