The LC has all student staff, trained and certified.

Location: The Learning Center is located on the 2nd floor of the Library, across from the 3-D Printing desk. The Math Emporium is located on the 1st floor of the Library, down the hall from the Books and Brew.  

Mission:  The mission of the GCSU Learning Center is to provide academic support in mathematics, physics, economics, kinesiology, and science courses throughout the core curriculum.

Biography

Jeanne has worked in higher education and academic support for over fifteen years. Earlier work provided a wide variety of educational and managerial settings including non-profit work, homeschooling, running a private school, and directing a camp. The common denominator to her experiences has been challenging and helping young adults continuously grow their proficiencies and skill sets. Ms. Haslam has been active with USG STEM initiatives as the Campus Liaison for the John Gardner Institute. She previously served as a Sector Lead for State Universities and as Co-PI for GCSU's STEM IV grant.

Biography

C'Lee Long is originally from northeast Georgia and now lives in Macon. She has worked at Georgia College for many years, previously serving as an academic advisor. Her twin sister is proud GCSU alumna! In her free time, she likes to watch Bob's Burgers, read, and watch One Piece with her husband.

Biography

Kendryl is a second-year Biology graduate student and Milledgeville native. He currently serves as one of two graduate assistants in the learning center, as well as a graduate researcher in Dr. Bachoon's lab. During his time as an undergraduate, he worked for the learning center as an organic chemistry SI. He likes to spend his free time cooking, baking, playing video games, and playing the guitar. He currently aspires to pursue a PhD.

Kendryl's favorite method of studying is spaced repetition using physical flashcards or digital flashcards like Quizlet or Anki to learn key information, then using practice questions (preferably essay style) to test and expand his knowledge of that information.

Noah Turner

Biography

Noah Turner is a native of Leesburg, GA and is currently pursuing his Masters of Accounting in the GCSU College of Business and Technology. He serves as a Graduate Assistant for the GCSU Learning Center. In his role, he provides data analysis and organization support to the Learning Center. In his free time, he enjoys going to the gym.

Noah's favorite method of studying is to create practice problems that allow him to check his mastery of course concepts as well as spaced repetition using physical flashcards.
