Enrollment and Degree Verification

Enrollment Verification

Students who need official verification of their enrollment status may obtain an Enrollment Verification certificate through PAWS. Please note that official enrollment verifications are not available until after the add/drop period at the beginning of each semester (usually the fifth day of class).

Follow these steps to obtain this information:

  • Log in to PAWS
  • Click on Student Services
  • Click on Student Records
  • Choose Enrollment Verification

You will be forwarded to the National Student Clearinghouse and you may request the certification by current term or for all terms you have been enrolled at Georgia College. This is an official verification accepted by loan companies, scholarship sponsors and insurance carriers.

Good Student Verification

Good Student Verification is usually needed for automobile insurance or scholarship offers. This verification includes the student grade point average and requires the student's signature to be released. Good Student verifications may be obtained by completing the Request Form (pdf) and faxing it to 478-445-8535; by mailing it to Georgia College & State University, Registrar's Office, CBX 069, Milledgeville, GA 31061; by emailing it to registrar@gcsu.edu; or by returning it to 107 Parks Hall on the Milledgeville Campus.  Forms from your insurance company or scholarship provider may also be submitted as long as the student's signature accompanies the request.

Degree Verification

The National Student Clearinghouse is the university's authorized agent for providing degree verification. If you are an employer or background screening firm requesting this information, please contact the National Student Clearinghouse at http://www.studentclearinghouse.org/ (or directly at http://nscverifications.org/ or 703-742-4200).
