Middle Grades Education M.Ed.

The Master of Middle Grades Education program at Georgia College & State University will prepare you with the knowledge, capabilities and dispositions required for effective, exemplary teachers of young adolescents.

The Association for Middle Level Education standards form the program’s philosophical and structural foundation. It is designed to support in-service teachers during their years of induction and to assist them in increasing their level of certification from a T-4 to T-5 while obtaining one of the optional credentials to move from the professional level certificate to the advanced professional. Courses are offered in a fully online format. A cohort begins each May and provides the best of both worlds: the flexibility of online learning combined with in-person class meetings that allow for collaborative learning experiences and networking opportunities with colleagues from across the state.
