Overview
Welcome to the Department of Economics & Finance. We offer two majors and three minors: a B.S. in Economics, a B.S. in Finance and minors in Economics, Finance and Business Administration. Please click on a tab on the right to view details about each program. The Economics major offers three concentrations in Public Economics, Financial Economics and International Economics. The Finance major offers two concentrations in Financial Analysis and Financial Technology.
Our degree programs focus on developing analytical reasoning, quantitative skills and communication skills. Students pursuing the B.S. in either Economics or Finance are allowed significant flexibility. Each program includes 30 elective hours of coursework, which enables students to complete a minor or a second major—within four years of study. Our upper-level courses usually have fewer than 25 students. Small classes help to facilitate student-professor interaction.
