Spring 2022 Enrollment

Accepting Spring Admission 

Congratulations on your acceptance to Georgia College for Spring 2022!  We are looking forward to welcoming you to campus in January.  Although we are unable to extend an admission offer for Fall semester, applicants with a Spring Semester Admit decision are being offered the opportunity to enroll in the following Spring based on credentials presented to date. A package including important forms and other information will be mailed to the address indicated on your application. Note: This information is intended for Fall applicants who are being offered Spring Admission only. Regular spring admits should visit www.gcsu.edu/confirm for information on confirming attendance. 

As you complete the process of accepting our offer please review the items below.

1. Submit Admitted Student Verification Form

If you plan to attend Georgia College for Spring 2022, you will need to submit a few pieces of information about your plans for Summer and/or Fall to help us provide you with the best possible transition in the Spring.


Once the form has been processed you will receive a confirmation. 

2: Set up your account

Your PAWS account will allow you to pay your confirmation and housing deposits, POUNCE, print your schedule, find your advisor, access financial aid awards, pay for your classes, view course offerings and much more!

Part 1: Set Up Student Account

  1. Visit http://unify.gcsu.edu/
  2. Select “Initial Student Access” icon
  3. Refer to your acceptance letter for your GCID number and GC email address
  4. Complete the information and select submit
  5. You will be brought back to the main unify.gcsu.edu page
  6. Select the “MyPassword” tab along the top bar
  7. Select “Set or Change Enrollment” to enroll in the system by setting unique security questions
  8. You will be brought back to the main unify.gcsu.edu page

Part 2: Enroll in DUO Authentication

  1. Log in to Unify (http://unify.gcsu.edu/) using your GC student (@bobcats.gcsu.edu) credentials
  2. Select the green "DUO Enroll" button, located near the center of the screen
  3. Enter your student credentials and follow the steps to install and enroll in DUO
  4. When you reach the screen that verifies your successful enrollment, press Logout
  5. If you have a second phone that can be used for authentication, you will select the "DUO Self Service" button in Unify. Once you enter your username and password, DUO will prompt you to authenticate using the method that you just created. Once fully authenticated, please add a second (or more) method to authenticate
  6. When finished, press Logout

3: Submit a $200 Confirmation Deposit

To reserve your space in the freshman class, you must submit your non-refundable, $200 confirmation deposit. Once we receive your confirmation deposit, you will be able to move forward with housing and registration. If you pay the deposit online, you will not have to turn in the Confirmation of Acceptance sheet enclosed in your packet.

  1. Visit http://unify.gcsu.edu/ 
  2. Enter your GC email address and Unify password
  3. Access PAWS from the third tab at the top or from the PAWS icon under the student tab
  4. Choose “Student Account Center” tab
  5. Select “Student Account Center” link
  6. Select the “GC Student Account Center” button (you will be sent to a different web page)
  7. Select Deposits tab located along the top bar
  8. Select entry term for making a payment (term your student will begin)
  9. Click on the “Select” button
  10. Under “Select Deposit Payment”, choose “Admissions Conf Dep” from the Deposit Account dropdown and click on the “Select” button
  11. Proceed to make the deposit payment by selecting “Continue”
  12. Select the credit card payment method and click on “Select”
  13. Enter credit card information and select “Continue” to submit confirmation deposit and complete payment

4: POUNCE - Class Registration

POUNCE is our registration process for all newly admitted freshmen. Using preferences you indicate on your POUNCE form, an advisor will register you for classes based on those preferences, your chosen major and available courses.

Once you have submitted the POUNCE Course Preference Form, an advisor in your major department will create your schedule. Approximately 10-15 business days after you submit your POUNCE Course Preference Form, you will receive an e-mail at your Georgia College Bobcats e-mail account to let you know that your schedule is complete. At that time, you will be able to view your schedule online.

  1. Visit http://unify.gcsu.edu/
  2. Enter your GC email address and Unify password
  3. Access PAWS from the third tab at the top or from the PAWS icon under the student tab
  4. Choose “Menu for New and Returning Students” tab
  5. Select “POUNCE Registration”
  6. Follow the directions provided to complete the form
  7. Before finalizing your preferences, review them carefully as you may POUNCE only once

5: Submit a Housing Contract and $235 Deposit

Please allow 24 hours for your confirmation deposit to clear before completing the housing contract.

1. Visit https://unify.gcsu.edu/
2. Enter your GC email address and Unify password
3. Click on the “Service Apps” tab at the top of the screen
4. Click on the “Housing Application” icon (icons are in alphabetical order)
5. If the application does not open, you will need to allow pop-ups for the site
6. Click the “Housing Application” link at the top of the screen
7. Select the term that you are applying for and follow the on-screen instructions

6: Official College Transcript

If you are planning on completing coursework at another institution during the fall semester prior to attending Georgia College in the spring, you must submit an official college transcript that includes your final grades.

Transcripts must be sent directly from each and every college attended (including technical institutions) to the GC Office of the Admissions.

Faxed documents and copies provided by the student are NOT considered official and will not be used for admission purposes. Courses from one institution that are listed on another college transcript will not substitute for an official transcript. Prior educational experience may not be omitted from an application package.

7: Complete the final steps

After submitting your tuition deposit, other final steps include:

  1. Complete the FAFSA and/or GSFAPPS by November 1 
  2. Provide Verification of Lawful Presence by December 1
  3. Complete your certificate of immunizationemergency contact form, and special assistance request (found in admission packet)
  4. Register for New Student Spring Orientation (January 7)
  5. Request your final high school/college transcripts to be sent to Georgia College prior to January 1st. Official copies should be sent to admissions@gcsu.edu or GC Office of Admissions, Campus Box 023, Milledgeville, GA 31061

Annual Security and Fire Safety Report  

The GC Annual Security and Fire Safety Report include crime statistics for the previous three years concerning reported crimes that occurred On Campus; in or on certain Non-campus buildings or property owned or controlled by GC; and on Public Property within, or immediately adjacent to and accessible from, the campus. The report also includes institutional policies concerning campus security, such as policies concerning alcohol and drug use, crime prevention, the reporting of crimes, sexual assault, fire safety policies/statistics, and other matters. Hard copies are available at the Department of Public Safety. You may also request a hard copy by emailing publicsafety@gcsu.edu or get an electronic copy here.
